Givers and Takers

Can we be too nice that we find ourselves surrounded by takers? They enter our life and over a period of time continue to take from us while they are there. They can even leave us exhausted with nothing remaining for ourselves. Remember takers don’t give back. When they have taken what they needed in that season they move to the next stop.

Don’t spend your life surrounded by takers. Find those that enjoy giving as much as they enjoy receiving. Taking and receiving are two different heart actions. The difference between the two is gratitude and attitude. A taker expects and carries an attitude of entitlement. A receiver on the other hand never expects and exemplifies a heart of gratitude. When someone has received their inclination is to give back.

Surround yourself with people who enjoy giving as much as they enjoy receiving. There are many ways to give other than in possessions. Things like encouragement, love, comfort, support, also speak.

Are you a Giver or a Taker?

Whichever side you find yourself on there is always opportunities to grow. What steps can you implement in your life today to find balance? Find ways to be a giver and receiver. It’s all a matter of the heart.
